Why We're Here
Our Mission
To empower volunteers to serve their community, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding.
A Worldwide Movement
Today, Lions Clubs International unites nearly 1.3 million members across more than 45,000 clubs in 202 countries and territories. While our members speak countless languages and represent diverse cultures, we are bound by a singular language—the language of voluntary service.
The Spirit of Service
Lions are special individuals who feel compelled to return to society a portion of the good fortune they have earned and received. This inner drive to answer human needs and improve living conditions defines our organization, both in our local Franklin community and across the global community.
Our Proud History
From our first convention at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas in October 1987 to our present-day activities, Lions have continuously evolved to meet changing needs while staying true to our core mission of service. The Franklin Noon Lions Club is honored to be part of this 100+ year journey of compassion and community impact.
Making a Global Difference
Through the Lions Clubs International Foundation, we've participated in transformative initiatives including:
- SightFirst programs that have restored vision and prevented blindness for millions worldwide
- Youth development programs that nurture the next generation of community leaders
- Disaster relief efforts that provide immediate assistance when communities face crisis
- Environmental projects that protect and preserve our shared planet
About Us
Our History
Founded in 1987, the Franklin Noon Lions Club has been a cornerstone of community service in Franklin for nearly 40 years. What began as a small group of business leaders meeting for lunch has grown into one of the most active service organizations in the region.
Leader Dog Training Sponsorship
We proudly sponsor Leader Dog training programs, helping individuals who are blind or visually impaired gain independence through expertly trained guide dogs.
Sight Conservation
Vision care is at the core of Lions Club service worldwide. Our sight conservation efforts focus on early detection, eye health education, and access to vision care to preserve the gift of sight in our communities.
Community Support
We're dedicated to building a stronger Franklin. We’re dedicated to uplifting our community through outreach programs, volunteerism, and resources that meet local needs and foster well-being.
Student Scholarships
We invest in the future by providing scholarships to deserving students, empowering them to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.
Food Drives
Our food drives help fight hunger by collecting and distributing nutritious food to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
Kids & Klassrooms
We support teachers and classrooms in Franklin with much-needed supplies and resources to help students thrive throughout the school year.
