Franklin Lions Clubs Support Firefighters and Future Tradespeople
Supporting Our Heroes
The Franklin community continues to shine brighter thanks to the generosity and collaboration of three local service clubs. Recently, the Franklin Noon Lions, Franklin Lionesses, and Franklin Evening Lions joined forces to support the dedicated men and women of the Franklin Fire Department with a timely and much-needed donation.
Recognizing the importance of ongoing training in emergency services, the three local Lions Clubs came together to purchase brand-new training tables for the Franklin Fire Department. These tables will be used in various educational and preparedness sessions that ensure the department stays ready to protect and serve. In a small ceremony, Franklin Noon Lions Club President Dave Pautz presented the donation check to Assistant Chief Shannon Anthoine, symbolizing the clubs’ ongoing commitment to public safety and local heroes.
“Our firefighters do so much for this community. It’s important that we give back and provide resources that support their vital work,” said Pautz. “This donation is just one example of how service clubs, like the Franklin Noon Lions and others are making a meaningful difference right here in Franklin.”
Investing in Our Future
In addition to supporting first responders, the Franklin Noon Lions Club is investing in the future of local students. As part of its annual scholarship program, the club awarded three $1,000 scholarships to students who plan to attend technical or trade schools this fall. The scholarships reflect the club’s strong belief in the value of hands-on, skills-based education that leads to in-demand careers.
“Skilled trades are essential to our economy and our community,” Pautz noted. “These scholarships are a way to encourage young people to pursue meaningful, well-paying careers and help close the gap in critical industries.”
