Franklin Noon Lions Club Honored with Friends of Franklin Public Schools Award
The Franklin Noon Lions Club is honored and grateful to have received the Friends of Franklin Public Schools Award. This recognition reflects the heart of our mission: serving our community and supporting the students, families, and educators of Franklin.
For many years, our club has worked alongside Franklin Public Schools to help meet the needs of students both inside and outside the classroom. We believe that when children are supported, our entire community becomes stronger.
Each year, the Franklin Noon Lions Club proudly awards scholarships to graduating seniors, helping students take the next step toward their future goals. This year, we provided $1,000 scholarships to several deserving Franklin seniors, and awarded $500 continuing education scholarships to last year’s recipients.
Our commitment to local students also includes providing eye exams and glasses for children in need. Clear vision is essential for learning, confidence, and success in school, and we are proud to help ensure students have access to these important resources.
During the holiday season, our club also provides food baskets to local FPS families experiencing hardship. We know that supporting students means supporting families as well, especially during challenging times.
In the fall, we sponsor our Kids in Classrooms program, which provides teachers with classroom supplies to help create engaging and supportive learning environments for their students. Teachers often spend their own money on classroom materials, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help lighten that burden.
This award belongs to every Lion who volunteers their time, every community member who supports our fundraisers, and every partner who helps make these programs possible. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of Franklin students and families.
We thank Franklin Public Schools for this incredible honor and look forward to continuing to serve our community for years to come.
