How to Volunteer

Volunteers are what allow us to fulfill our mission.

We Welcome All Volunteers

A Lions Club volunteer is someone who donates their time and energy to support the mission of Lions Clubs International, a global service organization. Founded in 1917, the Lions are known for their motto: "We Serve." Volunteers help with a wide range of community and humanitarian projects, both locally and internationally. The Franklin Noon Lions Club Chapter has been a part of Lions Club International since 1987.

What do Lions Club volunteers do? Some common Franklin Noon Lions Club activities include:

  • Vision and eye care: Organizing vision screenings, collecting used eyeglasses, and supporting eye health initiatives.
  • Feeding the hungry: Running food drives or helping at local food banks or shelters.
  • Environmental cleanups: Planting trees, cleaning parks, or raising environmental awareness.
  • Youth programs: Supporting schools, scholarships, and youth leadership programs like Leo Clubs.
  • Disaster relief: Providing aid and supplies during natural disasters.
  • Supporting the elderly and disabled: Assisting with errands, hosting events, or improving accessibility.
  • Collecting hearing aids.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone! While full members pay dues and attend meetings, you don't have to be a member to volunteer. Many clubs welcome community members to help out with events or projects.

Would you be thinking about joining one or just looking to help out with something local?
